Food Cop: NYC Edition

Food Cop is the latest iPhone app that can help you in finding out whether your favorite eating establishment is clean, dirty, or following regulations.
Food Cop:NYC Edition allows you to search for restaurants by way of name, by zip code, or even better, it helps you find your zip code wherever you are, so you can see what restaurants are in the area, and how they rate on the number of violations they're cited for.
Food Cop:NYC Edition is the first of forthcoming assistants to help you find the best places to go eat. Food Cop:NYC Edition is based on official restaurant inspections data. The NYC Edition gathers data for all 5 boroughs of NYC, including Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx.
Not only will Food Cop:NYC Edition show you the score of the restaurant inspection, but it will also show you which specific violations were observed. Find out if the food you've been eating was handled incorrectly, whether or not there's rats, mice or roaches running around your dish before it hits your table.
New in version 1.1:
MAPPING
Now you can map out a restaurant's location straight from the details page. The map will zoom out to show both you and the restaurant so you can get an idea of how close or far it may be. Shows nearby train stations as well as other points of interest along the way.
CALLING
Like the restaurant? No sanitary violations to be concerned about and you need to make a reservation? No problem. Just call directly from the details page. Tap a button and it will initiate the call for you. When you're done, you can go back to browsing other restaurants.
Other improvements:
- Faster loading of restaurants. For some of the more populated areas, the restaurant list will appear as it comes from our servers. This means you can start browsing restaurant details faster and without waiting for the full list to load!
- Improved UI. Much cleaner design for the restaurant details page. View a restaurants details without straining your eyes.
